Job Description
The Logistics Guru serves as the energetic, go-to point of contact for our customers’ logistics needs – leveraging his or her industry expertise for exceptional shipment delivery at competitive costs. Our Guru is expected to design solutions for our customers and contractors to transport the “hard stuff” to complex locations for challenging industries.

Core Responsibilities

  • Understand requirements and deliver solutions above and beyond business needs
  • Think outside the box to design movement of goods that maximizes value and minimizes cost
  • Issue spot bids to provide cost competitive and compliant logistics solutions
  • Perform exceptional execution monitoring to anticipate deviations before they occur and keep customers informed
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of all documentation including harmonized tariff codes
  • Store regulatory documents as per company filing standards
  • Support the development and improvement of logistics business processes
  • Drive savings and improvement initiatives related to freight, storage, and/or customs clearance
  • Perform accurate and timely system updates to enable shipment tracking and performance monitoring
  • Maintain close business relationships with our customers (and friends!)
  • Conduct performance reviews with customers and suppliers to ensure client satisfaction
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and market players

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics / Engineering / Business required. Advanced degrees are a welcomed advantage.
  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, and/or Operations
  • Ability to think strategically, analyze large amounts of information objectively, and formulate recommendations
  • Thrives working under pressure to meet intense deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and collaborative skills
  • Likes to “work hard, play hard”. Knows how to have fun at work!
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power Point
  • Understands international logistics processes and various modes of transportation
  • Dangerous goods or other logistics certifications preferred.
  • Strong command of English. Ability to speak multiple languages is an added bonus!

Job Description

The Process Master has the unique opportunity to make his or her impact both internally and externally to ensure KANLA and our customers perform as best-in-class, pacesetting companies. Our Process Master is responsible for strategic client projects as well as the efficiency of day-to-day operations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Drive the development and improvement of internal logistics business processes and systems
  • Provide consulting services to support clients’ strategic decision-making including network design and cost modeling / simulation
  • Identify root causes and provide business process solutions for challenges blocking clients’ operational success
  • Implement projects and outsourcing initiatives leveraging the KANLA structured approach
  • Establish continuous performance reviews with clients, the KANLA family, and suppliers
  • Maintain and expand client relationships through exceptional work product
  • Think outside the box to drive new initiatives and ideas
  • Provide training and coaching to fellow employees and external customers
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics / Engineering / Business required. Advanced degrees in subjects such as Industrial Engineering or Operations Research preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in Consulting, Supply Chain, or Logistics.
  • Previous project experience utilizing statistics, data modelling, optimization or simulation preferred.
  • Ability to think strategically, analyze large amounts of information objectively, and formulate recommendations
  • A self-starter passionate about his or her work
  • Thrives working under pressure to meet intense deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and collaborative skills
  • Likes to “work hard, play hard”. Knows how to have fun at work!
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power Point. Additional system / ERP experience preferred.
  • Project Management or other certifications desired.
